To be truthful I found marriages a little uninteresting because all of them appeared the same. After 30 minutes or so yawning thru the spiritual rite, never-ending moments skulking outside of the church followed by a meal in some location or another and at last attending the night do where the marriage DJ, generally my uncle, would play the same set of pop hits hes reputedly spent his whole life playing. And listen to me, its a change for the better.

More lately I attended a marriage where a classical guitar player performed a spread of popular classics as the light ebbed. With such a large amount of different kinds of marriage bands for hire, selecting which you and your visitors will appreciate the most can be kind of a stab in the dark.

Otherwise a string quartet, Gregorian or Welsh male voice choir could add a singular part to the celebration itself. As with the marriage rite itself, you do not actually need anything too intrusive as your visitors congratulate the bride-to-be and groom, mingle and settle down to the meal, so sticking to classical or people impressed music is superior to a band with drums, bass and all that racket. When folk are mingling, talking or eating they require the music to live in the background providing atmosphere, and not in the Russ monk sense of the word. When talking about the evening reception, you guests will be fed and watered and excited to let their hair down. Many couples are having dancing lessons to both provoke and entertain their guests by recreating famous routines from films like Grimy Dancing, Sat. Night Fever, Grease and even Michael Jacksons Thriller video. If this is your intention, then you have got to make sure your marriage band can perform the track you are going to dance around to, and they have to perform it well for max effect. Once your first dance is over with, your visitors can take to the floor and here's where live bands for marriages actually have to demonstrate their worth. Their stock should be up beat and attracting. Again this was unamplified, unintrusive, melodic and moving and his inventory spanned from Bach to Bacharach. What shocked me was he even kept the children satisfied by performing classical-esque arrangements of newer compositions like Oasis Wonderwall and Robbie Williams Angels.
